Q. What causes your work?

A. I suffer with depression which causes me to be preoccupied with my own mortality and the meaning of life. One thing that has helped me deal with the latter question was a quote from Brian Cox "we are the cosmos made conscious...life is the means by which the universe understands itself...our significance lies in our desire to explore and understand the universe".

I have several methods of understanding and exploring the universe - I explore the physical world through my art and my experiments with materials, and the explorations of physics and nature that inspire me. I am also interested in people, how they work and how they explore their universe.

My continued explorations and creations help me stay focused and motivated, without art, I would be nothing.
