Reading some art theory...

I have been reading Crispin Sartwell's Process and Product: A theory of art - a text I happened to find on the internet. I liked the fact that it says that art is a process that is absorbing and the satisfaction comes from solving problems that come up during the making process. I really relate to this.

I also agree with Sartwell that art seems to be an innate human need, that it satisfies something within us to create. Its reminded me to concentrate on enjoying the experience of making, rather than worry about the end product and whether others will like it.
